OVERVIEW
The Daughters of Israel Family Council is an independent, self-determining, self-governing group of families and friends of residents of the Daughters of Israel Nursing Home. The Council will meet regularly to carry out the mission set forth in this document.

The Council consists of family members of the residents and is formed for the sole purpose of easing the admission process and assisting families in obtaining a higher quality of life for their relatives at Daughters of Israel. The Council works hand-in-hand with the Administration and Board of Governors of the Home to co-ordinate their efforts.

One of the goals of the Council is to ‘connect’ new resident family members with family members who have already been through the admissions process.

The Council shall be governed by its members and assisted by the Executive Director of Daughters of Israel or designee and appointed members of the Board of Governors of the Home, as needed and requested by the Council.

The Family Council shall engage in a variety of activities chosen by its members in accordance with its mission.
