Daughters of Israel offers hospice services and palliative care for residents who have a terminal diagnosis. Partnering with leading area hospice centers, this program emphasizes pain control and emotional support for both the resident and family. Hospice specialists provide care, services and referrals in conjunction with the Daughters of Israel medical and nursing staff.
The hospice professionals include nurses, case managers, social workers, rabbis, counselors, aides and volunteers. In addition to the skilled nursing care provided at the Home, specialized hospice services include pain management, psychosocial support, spiritual and bereavement counseling in either individual or group settings, assistance with personal care needs, nutritional guidance, therapeutic through music, art and massage, and respite care for family members.
