The mission of Daughters of Israel is to provide a continuum of health related and social services to Jewish men and women, regardless of their ability to pay by providing suitable living accommodations, treatment and care, in accordance with Jewish dietary laws and Orthodox customs.
OUR VISION:
The vision of Daughters of Israel is to be a leader among Jewish long-term care facilities in services to the elderly. In the years ahead we will respond appropriately to new and improved technologies and ways to further enhance and enrich the lives of the frail and vulnerable elderly and disabled we serve.
Central to our vision is our promise made in 1906 to provide the elderly with the finest care imaginable.
Our decisions will always be guided by Jewish values and commandments including:
The Fifth Commandment:
Honor thy mother and father.
Klal Yisrael:
We Jews are one people, responsible for one another.
Gemilut Chasadim:
We Jews engage in acts of loving kindness toward others.
Tikkun Olam:
We Jews are to be active participants in the process of making a more perfect world.
Tzedakah:
We Jews believe in justice and in charity for the needy.
Kedushah:
We Jews believe the work we do on behalf of others is holy.
L'dor V'dor:
We Jews must continue our work from one generation to the next generation.
